"This stuff is great at preventing nail biting - it’s truly vile and the taste lingers for ages to remind you of your sins.A word of caution however - to get the potent chemicals to your tastebuds, this stuff has to be slightly water soluble even when “dry.”Water can be from saliva, or it can be the moisture in a filet of Scottish salmon that you are lovingly preparing for dinner. As the salmon can’t object to the taste (it’s a fillet), you will quickly transfer all of the polish from your nails to your meal.It goes without saying that this completely ruins the meal and you will be left eating baked beans on toast instead. Not that I have anything against beans on toast, but I wanted salmon.Here endeth the lesson…"

Kids at preschool were sucking their thumb. My daughter thought it was funny to copy them until boom, it became her habit. I needed to break it before it ruined her teeth (she just turned 5). This stuff is AWFUL. By that I mean absolutely BRILLIANT. She hates it and I thought it can't be that bad so I licked it, barely. It was worse. She didn't suck her thumb after accidentally trying it. A day or two later I went into her room at night and her thumb was back in there! Ugh. It had worn off. No worries, I put a little more on. She woke herself up around 1am by the taste. Once she'd understood what had happened she went back to sleep. I now re-apply if I see the shine gone and she noticeable rarely sucks her thumb anymore. 100% recommend. (Don't try it.)brigitta hund
