"I was underwhelmed by this product.Of the three components that come in the kit, only one of them I found to be effective or useful--the toothpaste. The toothpaste seems to build a decent lather, my dog enjoys (or at least doesn't mind) the taste, and visually it appears to be cleaning the dog's teeth (though only a dental exam could really tell me if this is true or not).The next component, the toothbrush, is a bit of a mixed bag. On of the one hand, it has two different sizes to try and work on a wide range of dog sizes, which I appreciate, but on the other hand it seems to end up not really working for any specific size of dog. I would rather have had a toothbrush designed for a specific size or shape of dog that would more effectively work for that dog. As it was, I never felt like I was ever able to find the right angle or fully brush a tooth with this brush.The final component, the finger brush, I found especially worthless. The tiny bristles on it are essentially nubs, and quite frankly I think simply rubbing your own finger around your dogs teeth would be more effective (and actually give you more control). The finger brush also just doesn't stay on your finger very well.Overall the only part of this kit I liked was the toothpaste. If you can find that as a standalone item it might be worth the purchase, but for this kit as a whole I would give it a pass."

Delivery in perfect time and the product was well packaged. I worked with the dogs to get them used to my hands in their mouth but i can tell for sure that this toothpaste makes the things easier. The instructions are clear and good to follow, for the first time just put some product on your finger and let they smell it, taste it. I waited at least one hour to see if they were having any sort of reaction, but they seemed to really appreciate it and got all excited. I like the finger brush for my little jack russel/chi puppy. I just apply some toothpaste on it and then i start to work on the teeth (especially the canine), the dog licks it very happily, so it's really easy. The second brush works great for my small/medium manchester terrier and she loves the taste very much too. I didn't notice changes on the stools since i use it, which makes me really happy. Now, when i show them the toothbrushes and the toothpaste, they sit and look at me with big eyes, licking their mouths.I am so happy i found this product and for the quality, the delivery and the good time i am having with my pets, it's a great deal.debbie

I've never brushed my dog's teeth so when his breath started getting funky and I noticed bleeding gums I did my research and bought the petrodex dental care kit. My chi-mix loves brushing time because of the tasty poultry toothpaste and he makes me laugh watching how much he enjoys licking and chewing the finger brush. The finger brush is very easy to use and gentle for the dog, but the rubbery-plastic material is kind of thin so my dog punctured a small hole in it on the second brushing session. Thus I gave it 4 stars instead if 5. It's a great product nonetheless, and I'm still using the punctured brush. I haven't tried the long toothbrush tho. His teeth and gums have improved from the day we started the cleaning regimen!bswand

The best thing I've ever bought for my dogs. I was so sure both of our dogs would have nothing to do with teeth brushing. But after my dogs breath started smelling like a sewer and we found out he had gingivitis, the vet told us we need to brush his teeth daily. We were sure he had stomach cancer, but it was just stink mouth. We started brushing both our our dogs teeth by laying them on their side on the bed. They don't like it, but with this delicious toothpaste they don't struggle much with us and lick their chops after we are done. They like it so much one of the dogs found out where I store it and keeps trying to sneak it out so she can eat it. I had to find a more secure hiding place. The best part is the older dog feels better and neither one of them has bad breath. I am very pleased with this purchase.*Update - after using this for a while the dogs no longer struggle and my "secure place" wasn't secure enough. I was put off about brushing my dog's teeth (9 yr old standard poodle) for a long time. However after a $300 cleaning bill within a year of a previous cleaning, including pulled teeth, bad breath, and the vet warning that he could lose more teeth and have other health problems if we didn't brush, I went ahead and decided my dog's health was more important than the yick factor, and I and got this.My dog loves it, thinks it's a treat, he even likes the brushing part, and it's kinda fun to do. His teeth are much cleaner and breath problems are pretty much gone, may be able to put off the next cleaning for a long time.If your dog has bad breath and teeth issues I'd highly recommend taking the time to do this, and this seems to be as good a product as any out there.findy

My little dogs hate getting their teeth brushed, but they have stinky breath and it really helps. Also, the one little dog was a rescue and had really brown teeth when we got him. His teeth look much better now. This one is poultry flavored.I follow the instructions and take the dogs one at a time into the bathroom, let them have a little lick off my finger of the tooth paste, and then hold each dog in my lap (they're small). They're not pleased with me at all, but it's better than gum disease. The pack comes with a double-sided tooth brush and and finger brush (you put it on your finger and rub the dog's teeth).kaz
