"Principles is split into three distinct sections, as if they are three books bound in one: Ray’s Memoir, Life Principles, and Work Principles. The memoir section (which the author strangely advises you to skip if you’d like) left a lot to be desired. It didn’t go into enough detail in some areas, and I didn’t walk away feeling like I had a good overview of his life and career at Bridgewater. His principles, however, were very good. I found them to be a unique approach that could make a meaningful difference in the way I handle my work and personal life."

Written for life and work in a very concise and orderly guideline for rational decision making. I don't regret buying this at all, may seem like an doubtworthy book for 40 dollars but it's extremely helpful for people that need a set of order in their life, teaching all sorts of practical advice by the one and only Ray Dalio himself.

This is one of the best business books I've ever read. Ray Dalio offers an abundance of real, actionable ideas based on the practices at Bridgewater. The book is filled with numerous small insights that collectively make it an essential resource for process improvement. For instance, Dalio points out, 'Every meeting should be aimed at achieving someone's goals.' How true is that? He also suggests that 'Every key person should have at least one person who can replace him or her.' This book is packed with ideas that need to be read, understood, and most importantly, implemented. It's a definitive five-star read.
